Zestial is a supporting character from the adult animated comedy musical Hazbin Hotel.
He is one of the oldest and most powerful Overlords in all of Hell and is highly respected amongst other overlords, besides The Vees.
He is voiced by James Monroe Iglehart, who also voiced Vortex in Helluva Boss.
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- Despite contributing very little to the plot besides starting Velvette and Carmilla Carmine's quarrelling song "Respectless" and asking Carmilla about the dead angel, fans absolutely fell in love with him, and they made fanart of him immediately. Even before the show when they didn't know his name.
- His deep voice and old English-style of speaking is considered incredibly unique and fun to listen to. His singing voice is also considered exquisite.
- His design is is very intimidating yet also awe-inspiring.
- He and Carmilla have a very sweet and caring friendship that some fans even interpret is somewhat romantic.
- Despite being a feared and sadistic figure in Hell, he is genuinely friendly and affable towards other Overlords.
