Topaz is a major character from the anime Sonic X, based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.

She is a human working as an agent at GUN and a partner of Rouge the Bat.

In English, she is portrayed by Jennifer Johnson. In Japanese, she is portrayed by Yukari Hikida.

What Makes Her an Ensemble Dark Horse?

• Topaz is one of the few other major human characters besides Eggman and Maria Robotnik, and one from the underutlized organization GUN, no less. Some fans even consider her to be the gold standard for how to depict humans in the Sonic universe.
• Many fans like Topaz's relationship with Rouge and how it develops throughout the show's first two seasons. Topaz at first takes annoyance at being in her company, due to Rouge referring to her as "old", though by the second season, they become close friends.
• After being saved by Mr. Tanaka from the Egg Golem, she also had a secret crush on him, though they're a being platonic friend.
  • Many fanbase recognized Topaz is Bisexual. Ironically some fans point out she resembles Hakura Tenoh/Sailor Uranus from Sailor Moon.
