~ Tessa confronting Cyn and her most famous quote. |
Tessa James Elliott is a major protagonist in the horror comedy web series Murder Drones. She is the daughter of James and Louisa Elliott and an Australian human who brought several Worker Drones over to her house as a child, giving them functions and clothes. Three of them were N, V and J.
In the present, Tessa arrived on Copper 9 to find out which drones were infected with the Absolute Solver to prevent it from becoming an even bigger threat. However, it would later be revealed that Tessa had actually died back on Earth and that the Absolute Solver has been using her corpse fused with Cyn to manipulate everyone into its bidding.
She is voiced by Steph Crothers.
What Makes Her a Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- She's practically the only human in her family who doesn't treat the Drones like trash.
- The people think her relationship with the Disassembly Drones trio is really cute. Fans especially like her friendship with Serial Designation J, because it adds humanity to a character who, until now, was nothing more than a bureaucratic freak jerk. Some even say that there was potential for their friendship to be as memorable as that between Shadow the Hedgehog and Maria Robotnik (funny enough Maria and Tessa are both EDH's and Shadow and J are both BBC's).
- Viewers also find her personality endearing, with her being a young girl who doesn't know how to relate to humans but has an affinity for Drones.
- Some also sympathize with her for being a victim of child abuse, with many saying they wanted this to be explored more.
- She also has badass moments in "Home", when she picks up a sword to fight the Absolute Solver and orders everyone at the gala to leave to save them from the villain's massacre, although she is unsuccessful.
- Her famous quote "This is a citizen's murderer!" became material for memes.
- She only appears for a single scene at the beginning of episode 2, with no lines, only returns in episode 5, and after that she never comes back. Tessa has practically no relevance to the main story of the series. You could take her out and it wouldn't change much. However, many fanfics and other fan content, such as fanart, songs and fan-comics tend to give her more prominence, showing that she can be quite beloved even with a small role.
- Overall, Tessa is well-remembered among Murder Drones fans, with many saying they wanted to see more of her.
