~ Teseo after hacking Gunvolt's commlink, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 |
Teseo is one of major antagonists in video game Azure Striker Gunvolt 2. His rogues gallery theme represents Sleeping Beauty / Briar Rose as his fairytale motif, and he was one of the members of Eden, a terrorist organization consisting multinational group of adepts to create utopia solely for adepts and wiping out the non-adepts. He was appointed as member of Eden known for his septima, "Hack the Planet" for hacking skills as well as turning any real environments into a cyberspace in which he can reprogram. He's also fond of any internet slangs because of being radical. He's also the main antagonist and final boss of Mighty Gunvolt Burst and a minor antagonist in Gunvolt 3 (albeit as Serpentine's summoned illusions).
He is voiced by Tomonori Ishihara in Japanese dub and Brian Long in English dub (Starting in Azure Strikers Gunvolt 3).
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- In general, Teseo is a playful cracker who spouts any kinds of references from any other works and internet slangs, in which everyone, including his fellow Eden members and Merak were tired hearing his radical quirk. He generally stops using his usual meme-laden references when he's defeated by Copen for real before deploying Plasma Legion to kill Copen.
- When he returns as one of Serpentine's illusions in Gunvolt 3 (albeit an optional boss), he made an internet slang once more, only for Kirin points out his meme-aden references were outdated, utterly horrifies him.
- Speaking of his septima powers, "Hack the Planet" made him capable of converting any real-life environments into a cyberspace construct, in which done to multiple buildings in Virtuality mission. He can create any virtual-reality constructs & obstacles such as advancing wall of doom in the prologue mission, and reprogram data, such as holographic copies of Lumen as an obstacle to hinder Gunvolt.
- The reason why he became the main antagonist of Mighty Gunvolt Burst is he wanted to stream Gunvolt and Beck fighting each other in video, all for amusement.
- In Lazy Kingdom Audio Drama, he's stated that he was an online friend of Merak and he's implied to be responsible for delivering a mysterious e-mail message to Elise to develops his sense of superiority during her video game escapism.
- Unsurprisingly for being a laughably evil minion, he's a trolling cracker who is fountain of memes personified and described to be annoying by the in-universe characters (Particularly Lumen, Tenjian, & Gibril).
- At one point in his stage, Teseo also set a "secret area" for Gunvolt in upper path that leads backwards. Reaching it would result Teseo mocking Gunvolt for believing there's a secret reward there. In which, there is indeed a secret reward, which is +666 kudos if Gunvolt waits for a few seconds.
- He would also laugh at Gunvolt when the player had died once in his boss fight or getting hit by Grid Raid attack.
- Throughout his level, Teseo really enjoys toying with Gunvolt pretty much. Then he flirts with GV by spawning holographic copies of Lumen and impersonating her, which leads to Joule increasingly getting annoyed that she wanted to kill him and kill him again.
- He mocks Gunvolt's ponytails while having one as well.
- He also makes any kinds of quoting references of other works such as "Yer a Wizard GV!" (Harry Potter) and "News Flash: Gunvolt has rejected his humanity. LOL" (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure).
- Speaking of his banter with fellow Eden members, he's described to be annoying for Tenjian and Gibril while being friends. According to Dengeki Nintendo Profile, while Teseo is claims to be a good friend of Asroc, the latter strongly denies it.
- He's paired up with Gibril, the most violent member of the group, because of sharing the position of the bishops. In which Gibril is really annoyed at Teseo's radical antics, and Teseo calls her Tsundere before leaving Gibril to fight Copen in the sewers to bring Mytyl to Zonda.
- Additionally, in Eden's Party audio drama, Teseo convinces Gibril to wear the Lumen outfit, much to her dismay.
- He returns in Gunvolt 3 as one of Serpentine's illusions along with Merak, summoned to fight Kirin. Merak still hates Teseo's guts for bringing his Internet slang in the conversations.
- One of the combination attacks of Teseo and Merak is he would perform Code Matrix attack, only to be punched by Merak's chair (Twice in hard mode) and send him flying through wormholes. Naturally, Teseo calls out Merak's apathy. This happens after they performed a combination limit break, Lazy-Noisy Fortress.
