What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- Takamura doesn’t have much importance in the overall plot, mostly appearing to do something impressive or shocking, despite this his image as a extremely powerful old man has made him extremely popular in the fandom, and he is the character power scalers talk about the most.
- He is consistently seen as the strongest character in the entire manga, thanks to his ridiculous feats of strength, like slicing a entire room in half, or cutting the entirety of Tokyo tower.
- He is incredibly badass, not just because of his strength, but also because of his portrayal in the story, the only reason he was able to get defeated was because of a clone of himself, so the only person who could beat Takamura, was Takamura himself.
- Another instance where he was depicted as a badass was when it was stated that his cuts were so clean that he could literally detach and reattach his limbs wherever he wanted.
- When he stopped acting like a senile old man who could only speak gibberish, he stated "you think I'm senile, don't you?", which many fans regarded as a sick and terrifying line, as no one expected for him to be acting this entire time.
