Sunny Smiles is a minor character who appears in Fallout New Vegas, serving as someone who helps the provide the Courier with necessary skills to survive the Mojave Wasteland.
She was portrayed by Katherine Pawlak, who also voiced several other characters in the game.
What Makes Her an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- Given that Sunny is one of the earliest NPCs the fans are introduced to, Sunny easily endeared herself to the fans by being genuinely friendly and being willing to help out the player by teaching them how to survive in the Mojave.
- Another reason why Sunny earned a fanbase with the players despite only appearing in Goodsprings, the town where the Courier wakes up, is that many players thought she was easy on the eyes.
- Familiarity is another reason why Sunny has a sizeable fanbase as she always appears in Goodsprings; even if killed her body doesn't disappear.
- Many fans were disappointed that Sunny (and by extension, her dog Cheyenne) were not made companions, to the point where they even made some mods that allowed Sunny to be recruited by the Courier.
- Her fans really like her voice, and her dialogue as well. Overall she made a big impression for several fans of the game.
