Stella Loussier is one of secondary Antagonist in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny and later a supporting character in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. She was an Extended who also member of Phantom Pain from Earth Alliance. A super soldier who being enhanced via drugs and brutal training, despite her womanchild persona, Stella also known to be most formidable and unstable Gundam pilot. She was the first love interest for Shinn Asuka before dying in Berlin.
She was voiced by by HĊko Kuwashima in the Japanese version, and Lalainia Lindbjerg in original Ocean dub and Francesca Calo in NYAV Post dub in the English version.
What Makes Her an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- She has cute design. When she is not in battlefield or being triggered by her trauma or program, Stella is a cheerful, affable, innocent, and lovely young woman.
- She is genuinely a tragic character. She was an orphan who being trained in Lodonia Institute to be next Extended by had her having brutal training, piloting, and body modification by using drugs. Her death also largely played for sympathy and impacted for Shinn wrath toward Kira Yamato.
- Stella's fate can be unpleasant in either way. ZAFT scientists would experiment her without proper care, because of their hatred on Naturals. So, Shinn decided to bring her back to Earth Alliance for her safety. However, the Blue Cosmos Terrorist Organization, led by Lord Djibril, later assigned her to be the pilot of a WMD, Destroy Gundam in Berlin. Death ironically was merciful for her.
- Despite being Shinn's love interest, Stella role is never about being satellite love interest. The narrative focused her tragedy and role as sympathetic antagonist. Making fans feel she is a better than to female main casts like Lacus, Cagalli and Lunamaria, who are overshadowed being love interest for male main character instead of their role as pilot, soldier or politician.
- She piloted a formidable Gaia Gundam and powerful Destroy Gundam. Making her become one of hardest opponent.
- Despite her blind loyalty toward Earth Alliance and Phantom Pain, unlike the previous characters who have similarity with her, Stella never considers as annoying. Granted since she has no idea the morality of EA side and she was evil because the order from her superior, not her personality.
- Once she learns about compassion, Stella determined to protect her loved-one from death and "any scary things".
- She is so popular among the fans to the point she makes her return as a spirit in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom, where she protects Shinn Asuka from The Foundation mind-trick by transforming herself into a ghostly figure of herself.

- Stella can be saved and join the protagonists' group in Super Robot Wars Z, K and L.
- Stella Loussier's Japanese Voice Actress have previously voiced Flay Allster, Natarle Badgiruel, and Via Hibiki in Gundam Seed, as well as Young Rey Za Burrell in Gundam Seed Destiny. She currently voiced Agnes Giebenrath in Gundam Seed Freedom, in addition for her returning as a spirit.
- Incidentally, Stella's spirit appears to Shinn in the same way as Flay's spirit to Kira Yamato. In which, both also being voiced by Houko Kuwashima.
- Ironically, unlike Stella, most of characters who voiced by Houko Kuwashima in Seed series are Base-Breaking Characters and Hate Sinks at the worst.
