Why Do People Love The Character?	Like Siegmeyer from DS1, Siegward is also recognizable for his onion shaped suit of armour and is also being a jovial person. However, Siegward is a capable planner, and he is able to cook Estus soup. Surprisingly, in a franchise known for gritty fantasy where anyone can die, Siegward of Catarina is one of the few npcs who get a happy ending. There's a funny incident where Patches stole his set of armour and leaving him naked, hidden inside the well offscreen.

Siegward of Catarina is a supporting character in video game Dark Souls 3. He is an unkindled knight of Catarina who is a friend of one of the Lords of Cinder, Yhorm the Giant, and he is as adventurous as ever as his predecessor.

He is voiced by Miles Richardson, who voiced Siegmeyer & Undead Male Merchant from Dark Souls.

What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?

• As you know, Siegward of Catarina's appearance marks the return of the onion-shaped knights of Catarina (AKA "Onionbro"), making him the last Knight of Catarina ever known chronologically between the events of DS1 to DS3.
• Like his predecessor Siegmeyer, Siegward is as jovial as Solaire of Astora and being an Onion Knight. Though he is more cautious unlike SIegmeyer, especially when you're fighting against a Fire Demon miniboss.
• In one offscreen funny moment, Siegward's equipment were stolen by Patches, who dons his armour to trick the Ashen One. Siegward is hiding inside a well, naked, and fortunately, we don't have to see it. To continue his quest the player must retrieve his armour from Patches in any method possible.
• He knows how to make a booze that even undead can enjoy, and he also can make a good Estus soup in his spare time. 
• He made a promise to Yhorm before he linked to the First Flame, that he will put him out of his misery should he's resurrected by the Bell of Awakening after his failed attempt to protect his beloved Profaned Capital, which was the goal of Siegward's quest.
  • Should you freed Siegward of Irithyll Dungeon cell; he would assist The Ashen One in Yhorm's boss fight wielding a Storm Ruler greatsword.
• Surprisingly, Siegward is one of the few characters of Dark Souls who got a happy (Yet bittersweet) endings because he would be able to fulfill his promise to his old friend. He then shares the drink of Siegbrau and having one last drink before he dies / killed himself to prevent becoming hollow offscreen.
