Sarumarine Captain is an antagonist from the Star Fox franchise. He is one of the captains of Andross's forces and is responsible for causing a mass planetary pollution on Zoness.
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- The Sarumarine Captain is remembered for all of his funny quips he gives out during his boss battle, in fact he is the only one of the captains who talks like a stereotypical pirate, both in speaking patterns and tone.
- His actions against Zoness, a beautiful planet that is popular for vacations, takes an emotional toll on the Star Fox team, such as Peppy being shocked due to having once gone there for his honeymoon with his late wife Vivian, Slippy being disgusted that Andross would let him do it, and Falco, who is strongly implied to either having been born there or spent a significant amount of time there, being saddened over its state.
- He also has an interesting boss battle where the player must only use Smart Bombs to take out exhaust pipes, crane, and his heavily armed weapons since typical lasers and even charged lasers don't even make a dent on his vehicle. Taking all of his weapons is the only way to make it vulnerable to conventional lasers.
