Samuel "Sammy" Lawrence is a major antagonist in the Bendy franchise. He was the former director of the music department at Joey Drew Studios who was corrupted by the Ink after accidentally swallowing some, becoming insane and worshipping the Ink Demon, in the hopes he would be returned to his human form.
He was voiced by Aaron Landon.
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- He has a very cool design of what appears to be a Lost One wearing a Bendy mask, who looks faceless when he takes it off.
- He has a lot of memorable quotes like "Can I get an amen?", "Sheep, sheep, it's time to sleep", "He will set us free", or "It's time to believe". Most of his quotes became memes among the Bendy fanbase, or titles of songs like CG5's "Can I get an amen?".
- When the Chapter 2 of Bendy and the Ink Machine released, he became extremly popular within the fanbase because of his voice lines, design, and lore around him, with people making theories about him or drawing fan arts.
- It's implied that Sammy was actually supposed to be dead at the end of Chapter 2 by the Ink Demon, but he was so loved by fans that Joey Drew Studios brought him back in Chapter 5 where Henry finally gets to fight him. He was also a playable character in Boris and the Dark Survival.
- He makes a cameo at the final battle of Bendy and the Dark Revival, where he starts making a speech about the Ink Demon's return with no one seemingly paying him attention, before Allison shoots him with the tommy gun, as he falls down his balcony while making a wilhelm scream.
