Rundas is one of the main supporting characters in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. He is a freelance bounty hunter alongside Gandrayda and Ghor, and he has power over ice and cold. He was among many of Samus Aran's allies where were given the mission of stopping a Leviathan from crashing into Norion and infecting it with Phazon before Dark Samus ambushes and infects all of them.

What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?

• Rundas is shown to have very cool ice powers about him, which is fitting since he was born on a frozen planet and the only one to use them for the purpose of bounty hunting.
• He has a relaxed personality to him, and his voice clearly reflects that which fits him well, though fans feel that he barely has enough screentime to fully develop as a character before his death.
• He has rescued Samus two times during the first mission, the first time was him saving her from numerous Space Pirate shuttles and the second time is when he saved her from falling to her untimely demise after an intense battle with Meta Ridley.
• Even when he was infected by Phazon, he had the most control over his corruption and managed to do it better than Ghor and Gandrayda, to the point where Dark Samus ended up having to forcefully take control of him to fight Samus.
• His boss battle is one of the best ones in this game and it is also one of the most heartbreaking. The same guy who cares for the wellbeing of Samus, his buddies, and the fate of the world. He is overcome with Phazon corruption and his life is on the line, and there is nothing you can do to save him, and the only way is to kill him. His boss theme that plays is hauntingly sad and beautiful and it clearly reflects what will happen to him in the end.
