Professor Pickle is a supporting character in Sonic Unleashed. He is a world-reknowned scolar on ancient literature based at Spagonia University.
He was voiced by Shigeru Nagashima in Japanese, and Dan Green in English.
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
Professor Pickle is one of the few Sonic characters besides Eggman that is human, and one that plays a prominent role in a game.
Professor Pickle is deemed one of the main highlights of the game due to his humorous lines, and espescially because of his eccentric nature.
It is common for Sonic fans to try and replicate the way that he makes his favorite food, cucumber sandwiches, the bread being no less than 3/4 of an inch thick, 1 tablespoon of mayonaise, a pinch of black pepper, and thinnly sliced cucumbers.
His exaggerated appearance, where his eyebrows are so large they cover his eyes, is also deemed pretty goofy, adding onto his eccentric nature.
Pickle is also noted for his easy-going personlity, displayed in the instance where Sonic rescues him. Instead of complaning about how Eggman had kidnapped him, and tried to use him in order to release Dark Gaia, he is more concerned with how poorly made his sandwiches are.
