Princess Daisy is a supporting character who made an appearance in Super Mario Land. She is the princess of the kingdom of Sarasaland and she has long since made many appearances in the spinoff titles.
What Makes Her an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- Princess Daisy is loved for the fact that she is a cool tomboy princess, as well as her outgoing personality to match.
- She is known to be a common subject of shipping and due to the fact that Mario has Princess Peach in the canon, she is most often shipped with Luigi to give the younger brother a girlfriend and it helps with the implications that Daisy is in love with Luigi when they are paired in various games.
- She has a pretty hilarious moment in Mario Party 3 where she is startled by Bowser, and she slaps him which sends him flying out of the sky.
- Another thing that fans like about her is that she is an underused character in the mainline titles, mainly being locked in spinoff games and they long for her to gain a more prominent role in the mainline, RPGs, or even the Paper Mario series, having seen so much potential in her. Upon the reveal of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, numerous fans rejoiced that Daisy is finally returning to the main series since her debut.
