Pink is a posthumous character in the AvM Shorts, a spinoff series of Animator vs Animation created by Alan Becker.
She was Purple’s late mother, who died after her husband Dark Blue’s abandonment.
What Makes Her Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- She appears in Purple's backstory in the episode of Animation vs Minecraft, Note Block Universe. Pink was a mother of Purple and wife of Dark Blue, but her death serves as a catalyst of how Purple attempting to surpass his father's expectations to no avail and makes Purple a tragic villain.
- While Note Block Universe is a comedic breather episode featuring singing Minecraft Mobs, the second half of the story centers on moment of drama between Green & Purple, along with Purple's backstory that features Pink, and her husband Dark Blue. Pink's conflict with Dark Blue happens because of the latter's needlessly harsh way of teaching Purple to be a competent fighter as him. In which, it played for drama as it resulting Dark Blue left abandon his own family leaving Pink depressed to death and creating Purple's ambition to surpass his father.
- Pink was a loving mother towards her son Purple, but Dark Blue is an abusive father who wants his son to be a fighter surpassing him, which Pink disapproves of it because of his needlessly harsh behavior. Her death serves Purple's start of darkness of his resentment to his father.
- While Alan Becker stated that she died of illness. There is another factor contributing Pink's death which is despair, that happens after Dark Blue left her and Purple.
- In Animator vs Animation Actual Shorts: Cherry Blossoms, Purple is picking up a cherry blossom flower to lay it on her grave after the events of the 3rd season of Animation vs Minecraft.
- In Animator vs Animation Episode 11: Victim, Purple's family appeared as a cameo. Pink helped Purple to get up in the middle of the Newgrounds Massacre, while Dark Blue doesn't even bother helping them.
- Like Gold, King Orange's Son, Pink was a tragic & sympathetic satellite family member who were genuinely nice, met a tragic end, and serves as a catalyst of how their loved ones fell to villainy.
