Peko Pekoyama (Japanese: 辺古山ペコ, Pekoyama Peko) is a character in the video game Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, holding the title Ultimate Swordswoman. She is a high school student attending Hope's Peak Academy. She is voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi (三石琴乃) in the original Japanese version and Janice Kawaye in the English dub.

What Makes Her An Ensemble Dark Horse?[]

Fans enjoyed Janice Kawaye's voice acting in the English dub, which gave a real menace to her character and contributed to her dark vibe.
Some fans find her design to be attractive, especially to those who like athletic women.
- Danganronpa fans who are also fans of Persona compare her design to Yu Narukami crossdressing as a woman, as they both have similar bangs, silver hair, twin braids of shorter length and possess a sword
Her talent as a swordswoman is beloved by fans due it being badass.
According to her free time events, Peko mentions that she has a soft spot for animals (especially those with fur) which fans find adorable.
She has a genuinely tragic backstory, with her being abandoned by her parents and then raised by the Kuzuryu Clan (Which led to her thinking that she is more of a tool than a person). Because of this, she is with sympathised by fans.
Fans ship her with Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu, her master (whom she is very loyal to) and sometimes Ibuki Mioda, due to the bonus scene in the first chapter.
Despite appearing in only two chapters, Peko has received a positive reception from fans.
