The "Necro Monster" is the main antagonist of the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episode "The Darkness Within". It is a malevolent alien entity that arrived on Earth and served as a corrupting influence on many people.
It was voiced by Ben Townsend.
What Makes It an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- The episode featuring him is one of the darkest episodes in the 2003 TMNT, which is full of terrifying scenes and is executed in the best style of any horror film, and also features one of the turtles' most dangerous enemies.
- Ben Townsend does a great job voicing his character, giving him a truly oppressive and menacing voice that makes you feel threatened by this creature.
- It has an awesome design that pays homage to the famous writer Lovecraft, making the monster creepy and repulsive, but in a good way.
- It is a real threat in the series as he is responsible for killing thousands of people since the 14th century, using people's worst nightmares to feed on them until they die, and is also impossible to kill, meaning he can continue to terrorize the entire planet until the habitation changes, which the creature then flies off to another planet to continue the process.He would also have been able to defeat the turtles a second time if the spear that now caused him to take on a spirit form had not gotten in the way.
- Except for failing to subdue the turtles, he has accomplished all of his major plans, as in the end he takes control of the businessman, thus escaping punishment and continuing his tyranny to live on for eternity.
- Even though he only appeared once, he was able to leave a lasting impression on many people at the time as one of the scariest things in the series.
