~ Mr. Ditkovich |
Mr. Ditkovich is a minor character in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film trilogy. An original character, he is Peter Parker's landlord and the father of Ursula, introduced in the second film. He is known for pushing Peter around asking him for rent but deep down he is shown to care about him and his daughter.
He was portrayed by Elya Baskin.
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- Mr. Ditkovich gave one of the most iconic memes from the trilogy with his constant nagging and asking for rent. He is even compared to SeƱor Barriga from the classic TV show El Chavo del Ocho because of this.
- He is an original character and canon foreigner who was very well liked by fans of the trilogy for his small but memorable presence in Peter's daily life.
- Despite his small screentime his actor owns every scene, with his delivery being on point.
- He had a good line, "It's a free country, not a rent-free country."
- He shows some hidden depth in the third film when Peter (influenced by the symbiote) lashes out on him and in response he said that Peter is a good boy and rationalizes that he must be having a hard time.
- His relationship advice to Peter when he was in a rough spot with Mary Jane was both hilarious and heartwarming.
