Midnite is one of the secondary antagonists of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. She is a member of the Spark Hunters alongside Bedrock and Daphne, whose goal is to search for the Sparks, (Luma-Rabbid hybrids) so her master Cursa can absorb their energy. She was also one of Edge's former friends.
What Makes Her an Ensemble Dark Horse[]
- Even though she did not get too much screen time, Midnite quickly became very popular with the fans who first met her in the Sparks of Hope trailer due to her adorable character design and is regarded by fans to be the most beautiful of the Spark Hunters and it helps that her ethereal ghost-like appearance made her more radiant.
- There have been a number of fans who find her to be very attractive and alluring to them due to her flirtatious mannerisms and the fact itself has her gaining much more fan art than the other Spark Hunters did.
- She also has a very cool boss fight and it introduces Rabbid Rosalina, since Midnite trapped Captain Orion, whom Rabbid Rosalina considers a member of her family, getting her involved in the fight.
- Aside from her looks, she also once had a strong friendship with Edge, when they both smiled at each other when they met again, even though Edge refused to return to the side of evil. After she gets defeated, Midnite is spared by Edge to show what respect remained between them, with Midnite leaving remorsefully.
- Her remorse, as well as the serious punishment she and Bedrock receive from Cursa for their failure, also gives her many sympathy points and it helps that she has not been seen doing anything monstrous to deserve it.
- Since Edge implied that Midnite, Bedrock, and Daphne are seeking a new profession, many fans were hoping that in the next game, she would be more prominent and that she would reconcile with Edge.
