Melami Goldmine is a minor character in Master Detective Archives: Rain Code. She was a detective on the Amaterasu Express and ended up immolated by Fake Zilch.
She is voiced by Lauren Landa in English dub and Yukari Tamura in Japanese dub.
What Makes Her An Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- She only really appeared in one scene before dying, but her and the other prologue detectives (minus Zange) quickly became fan favorites.
- Her design is incredibly attractive, which is very intentional. This makes her a favorite amongst fan artists, similar to Zilch Alexander.
- Before the game's release, she was deemed similar to Miu Iruma and/or Junko Enoshima due to her fashion expertise and blonde hair. This led to Danganronpa fans immediately becoming interested by her.
- She doesn't just have beauty, but also brains. Her plan to catch the Amaterasu employee by walking around naked was shockingly intelligent, and it worked perfectly. Therefore, she's easily the most knowledgeable on Amaterasu out of the prologue detectives, making her incredibly interesting.
- Her death is brutal, and stands out more than the others considering you think only Zilch is dead, so finding her corpse is shocking and makes you upset. Players also often realize they're all dead when Melami dies, leading to her death upsetting fans of any of the prologue detectives.
- Even after her death, her comment about the door in Car 4 is the key to solving the case, leading to her being very memorable.
