Mark the Tapir is a character from the Sonic Boom cartoon, appearing in the episode "The Biggest Fan".
He is an anthropomorphic tapir that is the fanatical, self-proclaimed "number one fan" of Sonic the Hedgehog.
He was voiced by Wally Wingert.
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
He is one of the show's most popular characters. Ironic fans also consider him one of the few things that ironic fans of the show watch.
He is often considered to be a parody of vocal minority of obsessive Sonic fans that nitpick even the smallest details of the games.
By extension, the character is often compared to the infamous Internet personality Christian Weston Chandler, due to them both being overweight, nerds with glasses that are obsessed with Sonic. This was especially due to how they responded to Sonic's arms being changed to blue in the game that the show as based off of. Mark had also made a similar complaint in the show.
