Marianne von Edmund is a supporting character in both Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.

Marianne is the adopted daughter of Margrave Edmund and the heir to House Edmund, a noble house in the Leicester Alliance. She also a student in the officers academy at Gerreg Mach Monastery, she is part of the Golden Deer House.

Marianne is voiced by Xanthe Huynh in English, and Sawako Hata for Japanese.

What Makes Her an Ensemble Dark Horse

• On the surface Marianne may seem to be a gloomy yet shy person who has trouble with taking to people. But once she comes out of her shell she becomes an elegant and graceful woman.
• Her performance by Xanthe Huynh also further make Marianne very beloved by fans of Three Houses. Xanthe may Marianne sound all calm and gentle little soul.
• Despite being a supporting character in the overall plot Marianne has one of if not the best development throughout the game. She started out as an unsociable person who wants to stay away from people fearing that she bring misfortune upon. To now a serene graceful woman who now accepts to live for herself and the people she loves.
  • Her design also reflects the development that Marianne goes through. Her hair starts out as bit missy then become a lot cleaner. Her face also gets a lot more healthy compared how it was before.
• Her A support with Byleth really hit home for a lot of people. In the support Marianne confess to Byleth that she originally intended to kill herself thinking that her life serves no purpose. But it’s was because of the professor guidance and the people around Marianne that she now finally learned to live for her own sake.
• Marianne was so loved by fans that when Choose Your Legends Round 5 came around she was the overall winner of the Womens Division manage to beat out other popular female Fire Emblem characters such as Bernadetta also from Three Houses, and even Eirika one of the main protagonist from Sacred Stones.
