Lord Balthazar Rogers, also known as Lord Rogers or simply Rogers for short, is one of the supporting characters in The Swan Princess franchise. Being a Lord, he is Derek's musician advisor and has been Queen Uberta's head butler since Derek was a young lad.
In the first film, he was voiced by Mark Harelik and by Joseph Medrano from the second film to the twelfth film.
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- He is arguably regarded by fans as one of the most popular and well loved characters in The Swan Princess franchise.
- He is well-liked in the castle, especially his boss, Queen Uberta.
- He played a role in advising and coaching Prince Derek and Bromley in their archery practice in preparation to confront and defeat the Great Animal, who was actually Rothbart.
- His jolly, quirky, sarcastic, sassy, and clever traits helped him to become entertaining to audiences and fans alike.
- He is shown to be a friendly manipulator when he plays tricks on Bromley to not become cowardly or idiotic.
- He is also pretty funny for his song in the Swan Princess III: Mystery of the Enchanted Treasure, where he thought he lost Lady Zelda, whom he thought was his girlfriend until he realizes that she is evil later in the film.
- In addition to being a loyal butler to Queen Uberta, he is also a friendly musician advisor to Derek, as shown when he reprimanded Derek for offending Princess Odette about not thinking of anything else other than her beauty.

- Whats more in the fourth film of the franchise is that he’s the first character to be shown in The Swan Princess Christmas, which somewhat cements him as a Breakout Character.
