“ | My teacher always advised me to write songs that transport the listener to the moment in time you're singing of. Now...I finally feel I understand what he meant...and the true power of music. | „ |

Kass is one of the minor supporting characters who made an appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. He is one of the characters who plays a role in helping Link find shrines.
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- Despite not being an important character in the game with him only being a mere helper to Link in his search for Sheikah Shrines, Kass has quickly garnered quite a large fanbase, not despite of it, but because of it.
- Kass is very helpful to Link whenever he finds him, and he will play him a song that is also a riddle which is a hint on how the shrine will be revealed.
- He is shown to be a great husband and father to his wife and children. Even when he has been away from them for a long time, he greatly misses them and wishes to return to them once he completes his late teacher's unfinished song.
- He is shown to be greatly respectful of the deceased as shown when he is inspired by them enough to write a song about them about their hidden depths and vulnerabilities; with Mipha being strict, when necessary, Daruk being afraid of dogs due to being chased by them, Revali not being comfortable with sharing his feelings with others, and Urbosa being a fierce warrior and a good friend to Princess Zelda and hopes that they will rest peacefully.
- Kass was so well-received by fans that his sudden absence in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has greatly disappointed them, since it came out of nowhere and had no explanation behind it. Regardless, they hope that the game's future DLC will bring him back to give him a role as The Champions' Ballad has done. But given that there are no plans for such DLC to be made, nobody will ever know what happened to him.
