Ibuki Mioda is a supporting character in the video game Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, with her title being the Ultimate Musician. In the original Japanese version of the games and anime, she was voiced by Ami Koshimizu. However, in the English dub she was voiced by Julie Ann Taylor (Games) and Brina Palencia (Anime).

What Makes Her An Ensemble Dark Horse?[]

To get the elephant out of the room, a reason why she became unexpectedly popular is her design, which fans find pretty and/or cute. In fact, she ended up receiving a lot of fanart.
- In fact, some fans just played the game because of her design.
Another reason why she is well-liked by fans is because they found her hilarious due to her dialogue and quirky mannerisms.
- Also, one of her most famous lines "Good nom-nom-nomming!" has became a meme in the Danganronpa community.
Her reception is rather ironic for two reasons:
- She adds little to the plot aside from being a comic relief to a dark-toned game, in fact the game would hardly change if she was left out.
- She tends to make questionable remarks towards her fellow female students, such as when Hajime Hinata asked about her relationship with Mahiru Koizumi she responded "Do you mean in a perverted way?". However, fans didn't find her creepy.
She had fairly limited screentime throughout the series. In the games, she only appeared in three chapters and played a very minor role in the sixth chapter. In the anime, her role was not major enough to graduate her status from a supporting character.
Fans also enjoy the fact that she is a representation of the LGBTQ+ community (She is suspected to be biromantic-asexual by fans).
