Hayate Gekkō, is a major character in the Chunin Exams, he is a jonin who served as the proctor for the exams.
He was voiced by Nozumu Sasaki in Japanese and by Lex Lang in English.
Why is he an Ensemble Dark Horse[]
- Hayate only appeared in a few episodes in the Chunin Exams as their proctor, despite this, he still ranked as the eighth most popular character in the entire manga in his first popularity poll. Even after his death, the guy still managed to outrank characters like Minato and Orochimaru on the fourth and fifth popularity poll.
- A lot of fans found him to be attractive.
- People found his sword, sword techniques like "Dance of the Crescent Moon," and his fighting style to be incredibly badass.
- Fans admired how, despite being terminally ill, he continued to serve his village faithfully, demonstrating his dedication as a Shinobi to Konoha.
- Some fans feel that he died at the perfect time before getting “trolled” or “ruined” by the manga.
