Muscular (マスキュラー) (also known as Jailbreaker), or his real name Goto Imasuji (Japanese: 今筋強斗), is a minor antagonist in the shonen manga and anime My Hero Academia. His Quirk is called Muscle Augmentation which allows him to increase his muscle mass.

He is voiced by Kosuke Takaguchi in Japanese, and by Jim Foronda in the English dub.

What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?

• His reception is extremely ironic. Despite him being portrayed as a despicable sadist with a For the Evulz motive, he managed to gain a fanbase.
• He became popular due to how formidable and badass he is. In fact, he is deemed to be one of the most intimidating villains in the entire anime.
• Additionally, he became popular due to his design, which is as scary as his personality is.
• Hence his intimidation, he has strong "Evil is Cool" factors:
  • His Quirk is a rather fascinating power, which makes him strong enough to be a skilled fighter.
  • Also, his fights with Izuku Midoriya, the protagonist himself, were rather interesting.
• He is overshadowed by a majority of the other villains in the series, despite many having limited screentime. Compared to the other villains, Muscular is rather minor.
