Dr. Essler and Rainbow After Rain are two of the main protagonists in the streamed D&D campaign Silent Knights. They, unlike their four companions, appear as NPCs in The End Game instead of player characters like the other four. Dr. Essler is played by Starstainstuff, and Rainbow After Rain is played by Faelyix.
What Makes Them Ensemble Dark Horses?[]

- They are overall minor characters in the Kalkatesh Arc as they only appear in two campaigns, while their four friends play a bigger role in the future. Dr. Essler and Rainbow only have a main role in their 14 episode campaign; relegated to rather minor roles in The End Game.
- They are considered two of the most useful party members. In the final battle with The Blasphemous Dream, Rainbow deals tons of damage to him, and Dr. Essler uses her ingenuity to take the orb of Wode from him.
- Fans were disappointed when their players didn't return to play them during The End Game.
Dr. Essler[]
- She is good friend to Rainbow and their other friends. Even though Jairx often got into conflict with her, she still saved Wode first, Wode being Jairx's god, before Oun showing that she didn't let anything between them get in the way of the mission. In the last episode of Silent Knights Dr. Essler got along better with Jairx, something the fans appreciated.
- She loved for having many comedic moments, like Wadu Heck falling in love with her, her having a fondness for dissecting, and many others.
- Starstainstuff's acting was a highlight for many fans, with many liking that her normal voice and Essler's voice sound quite different from each other.
- Many liked that she's a snake girl, and found her quite pretty.
Rainbow After Rain[]
- Rainbow is a good friend to Essler and the other party members. She often helps them out of dangerous situations.
- She is liked for being a cat girl and is considered very pretty.
- She has a few funny moments that pleased fans and made her more endearing to them.
- Rochelle and Rainbow have highlight wholesome moments that viewers latched onto.
- Many saw Rainbow After Rain as the most badass during the battle with The Blasphemous Dream, as she relentlessly stabbed him whenever she could.
