The Dog from Resident Evil 04 (2005) & Resident Evil 04 Remake (2023) is a supporting character of the game. It is a stray dog that was heard whining in pain because it's leg stuck by a bear trap. If Leon decides to save the animal, it would later aiding Leon's fight against El Gigante in return.

What Makes It an Ensemble Dark Horse?

• Is a well-known example of Video Game Caring Potential. Where Leon Can free the dog from the bear trap. The Dog later returns helping Leon against El Gigante Boss Fight.
• By howling at the sky, the dog announcing it's return to aid Leon Scott Kennedy is one of the most satisfying boss altering consequences ever in both games.
  • In 2023 remake, it's able to attacking El Gigante's leg, aside distracting the giant.
• In the 2023 Remake, there are two dogs that trapped in bear trap, one was found dead in the prologue demo, The other is discovered to be alive in the full game. This was done in a bait & switch fashion by the creator to trick the video game players.

• The dog is one of the known Ensemble Dark Horses originating from the Resident Evil 04, alongside Mike, The Merchant, Jack Krauser, Luis Serra, and The Regenerators.
• The Dog bear resemblance to a wolfdogs, a hybrid of a dog and wolf. The first record of wolfdog breeding is from the United Kingdom of Great Britain in 1766.
