Cioccolata is a supporting antagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. He is a member of Unità Speciale, who attempted to defeat Team Bucciarati alongside Secco.
In Japanese, he was voiced by Ryuzou Ishino in the PS2 game GioGio's Bizarre Adventure, Naoya Uchida in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle, and Atsushi Miyauchi in the anime adaptation. In English, he was voiced by Bill Butts in the anime's dub.
What Makes Him An Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- He's a Hate Sink that accomplishes his role really well, giving a very intimidating presence thanks to his crimes.
- In the anime adaptation, he is responsible for the murder of Sorbet & Gelato on-screen in boss's orders, with sadistic pleasure for his snuff film addition.
- His stand, Green Day, is creepy and really posed as a threat. Its horrific look and ability made the villain even more awesome.
- The funny interaction with Secco when calling him a good boy, of course. While it does not detract his Pure Evil status and boosting his sadism, it's hard to not enjoy it.
- He's tough to face against, for one, being a really important threat to Team Bucciarati with a stand that can kill a population.
- He's a well-done evil counterpart to Giorno, usurping Diavolo for his own gain instead of a noble cause.
- Power-wise, he is an evil counterpart of Fugo with a similar stand ability. The difference is Cioccolata is a depraved individual who relishes on killing people.
- Compared to Diavolo, his Stand ability is easily understandable.
- His beatdown was really iconic by fans.
Trivia[]
- Cioccolata was created to replace Fugo's intended role in the climax of Golden Wind. Because Araki going through depression, he wrote Fugo out of the plot for overthrowing the boss.
- After chopping Sorbet, he preserved the corpse's parts in 36 individual glass frames, which is a gruesome parody of an art, The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living made by Damien Hirst.
