Where's my fucking money, Denny?!
~ Chris-R threatening Denny for not having his money.

Chris-R is a minor antagonist in the infamous 2003 film The Room.

He is a local drug dealer to whom Denny owes money. He makes his entrance by confronting Denny on a rooftop, growing increasingly angry as Denny reveals he doesn't have his money yet, prompting him to pull a gun and threaten him before being subdued by Johnny and Mark.

He was portrayed by Dan Janjigian.

What makes him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]

  • He is one of the more serious cast members in a film that's infamous for its bad acting and poor characters, having a menacing aura on screen as he confronts Denny.
  • He is a one-scene wonder with a small role in the main story, yet he is memorable due to being a clear-cut villain whose lines and delivery stand out from the rest of the cast.
  • Dan Janjigian did a good job playing him and it shows in the behind the scenes material. Not only was he committed to his role but Tommy Wiseau and fellow cast members like Greg Sestero were legitimately taken back and scared by his immersive performance as a violent drug dealer.
  • Both The Room's ironic fanbase and detractors find him to be seriously one of the best parts of the film and a pretty funny character given the context of his scene.
  • In the unofficial The Room videogame adaptation, he went through a case of adaptational badass where he now puts up a boss fight against Johnny and Mark before being taken down.
  • Zac Efron's portrayal of Dan Janjigian in The Disaster Artist was pretty cool and gave him a spike in popularity.
