Hate Sink EDHs are characters that were written by their creators to be hated by audiences, but have amassed large fanbases instead, usually as a result of their negative traits being downplayed by fans or having several "Love to Hate" moments. Instances of the former are usually referred to as the "Draco in Leather Pants".
The opposites are Love Exalted Scrappies.
