Bradley "Brad" Snider is a supporting character and the overarching protagonist of Grand Theft Auto V.
He was an old friend of Trevor Philips and Micheal Townley who helps them rob banks and commit other crimes before dying at the hands of Dave Norton, accidentally taking a bullet meant for Trevor. Despite only appearing in the game's prologue, his influence can be felt throughout the entire game, being one of the key elements of Michael and Trevor's relationship.
He was voiced by Ryan Woodle.
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- To start off, he only appears in the game's prologue, having a total of 5 minutes of screentime before getting killed off, because of this, Brad became the center of theories from many fans.
- Fans also wanted a DLC that would give insight on Brad, Michael and Trevor in their bank robbing days.
- Even after death, his influence can be felt throughout the entire game with him being one of the key elements of Micheal and Trevor's relationship and his name being mentioned by many characters including his killer, Dave Norton who sends Trevor text messages acting as Brad in order to trick Trevor into thinking he's in prison which would eventually led to the mission "Bury the Hatchet" where Trevor finds out the truth about Brad by digging Micheal's grave onto to discord Brad's body in here.
- Despite his short screentime, much of his personality was discovered after his death where it's implied, he is disliked among his fellow crew mates; Trevor, Micheal and Lester, the latter of which called him "Lazy, forgetful, mean, and stupid." It's also implied that he is much worse than Trevor judging from his actions in the prologue such as striking a female citizen for no reason and bragging it to Trevor and Micheal. In one conversation between Trevor and Micheal, they both agree that "Brad was a dick".
- Overall, despite his short screentime before getting killed off and the mission where he appears as a corpse, Brad has become a popular character with many videos and theories surrounding him being made. Many fans hoped GTA 5 will have a DLC that would give Brad more screentime and give an insight of what his life is like before his death.
Trivia[]
- A YouTuber by the name of 'TheProfessional' made a video analyzing Brad, theorizing that Brad could be a psychopath since he actually didn't care about anyone but himself and that have Dave Norton succeed in his goal of shooting and killing Trevor, Brad would have been worse than him and might even kill Micheal's family should the former find out Micheal lived.
