BoCo is a minor character in the TV series Thomas & Friends. He is a green diesel engine who works on Edward's Branch Line and on the Main Line.
He was voiced in the UK dub by Ringo Starr and the late Michael Angelis, and by the late George Carlin and later Alec Baldwin (who also voiced Dennis in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie) in the US dub.
What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]
- Despite only having a major role in 8 episodes (one of those 7 episodes of which not naming him), and only appearing outside of those 8 episodes as cameos and never returning to the series after Season 5, BoCo is still well-loved by fans and was one of the most wanted characters to return to the CGI series for his kind, gentle, and lovable personality.
- BoCo is well known for being one of the kinder diesel engines in the show despite diesel engines usually being villains and antagonists in the show.
- He also happens to be one of the few engines who cannot tolerate Bill and Ben’s pranks and can scold them for their troublesome behavior.
- He is one of the characters introduced in Season 2 of the show, the last season produced by Clearwater Features and narrated by Ringo Starr.
Trivia[]
- As of right now, he, alongside Splatter and Dodge are the only Thomas & Friends characters to be Ensemble Dark Horses.
