Never met someone with a taste for prawn I couldn't trust. We'd make good mates, I reckon.
~ Blackguard Big Boggart, after The Tarnished purchases at least one boiled prawn

Blackguard Big Boggart is a supporting character from Elden Ring. He is an ex-convict who was called in the Lands between by the guidance of grace. At some point when incarcerated, he was imprisoned in the same gaol as the Dung Eater and seeing him defiles and kills people. At the very least, Boggart is an affable thief towards The Tarnished.

He is voiced by Dean Fagan.

What Makes Him an Ensemble Dark Horse?[]

  • While imprisoned in the same gaol with The Dung Eater, he manages to escape from him offscreen, before roaming the Lands Between and meeting The Tarnished. The nightmarish part: He witnessed The Dung Eater's defilement of the other fellow cellmates, the fact he manages to escape from The Dung Eater is the reason why he told The Tarnished a story.
    • It's likely he was imprisoned for his thievery acts or his exposed fraudulence, by falsely advertising his boiled crayfish meat as "prawns". In spite of being a criminal, he puts his mask as a facade while having a heart of gold.
    • Beneath his mask, he's quite attractive.
  • He blames Rya for getting duped easily that her necklace is stolen. However, Rya, being the scout of Volcano Manor, deliberately made him stole her necklace to invite the Tarnished in the Volcano Manor if The Tarnished buys the necklace from The Blackguard. The reason why did he sold the necklace to The Tarnished is for pittance of runes is the necklace is simply useless for him.
  • If you managed to get him open to purchase his "prawns", he admits that he never felt himself worthy of being able to see the guidance of grace, even when he still could. And he can be summoned to fight Magma Wyrm Makar.
    • Also, his defense-boosting boiled shellfish.
  • He's very wary of The Dung Eater. Should the Tarnished frees him from his cell, he's horrified, and he would be the unfortunate victim from the Defilement of The Dung Eater before The Tarnished.
  • He's also one of the most foul-mouthed NPCs.
Marika's tits, you must be 'ungry.
